Although I have just begun my career, my dream is to work in Advertising. After holding a production internship at M&C Saatchi and strategy internships at Imagination and RPA, I have taken on a whole new perspective of the industry. At a broad level, I learned how agencies operate, how demanding clients can be, how to conduct research, and how to manage tight deadlines. I also picked up on agency culture, and how the coffee occasionally tastes like someone spilled it on the floor, didn't tell anyone, mopped it up, and squeezed it back into the pot... and then snickered in the corner while watching everyone suffer.
However, I wasn't always interested in working at an agency. I was originally interested in being a wizard and taking on Lord Voldemort, becoming a Pokemon master, and becoming a NBA All-Star (as my "what I want to be when I grow up" statement read in my 5th grade year book). I'm pretty confident that somewhere down the road, Ash Ketchum became an adult and realized he needed to get fucking job, as Pikachu doesn't pay the bills. There's a reason him, Misty, and Brock were always so hungry.
I was born in San Francisco on February 10th, 1995, and moved to the East Bay to a little town called Moraga when I was 5 years old. I have always loved adventure, the outdoors, basketball, and home-cooked meals. I drove my mom's old white Camry, and my house always smelled like my dog. Hence, when I'd hang out with my friends, it was never at my house.
I graduated from CU Boulder in 2017 with a B.S. in Advertising and a Minor in Entrepeneurship. Since then, I've learned a lot about myself and about the advertising industry from living and working at internships in Detroit and LA. I look forward to growing as a professional and advancing my career.
